Well, I can pass a class easily without studying, but if I want to make a better grade, I have to study.
Anyway, passing a class is not the point of going to school, learning the material is more important than anything.

No, I never read the book.
However, if there is a way for me to read it, I would read it just to give you an idea.
For me, buddhism is different than all the other religions. It's more about human to human interaction than human to god interaction, if you know what I mean. Harmony is a very big word in buddhism, I think.

From what I understand, buddhism is about 3 kinds of harmony.
The harmony between your mind and you body.
The harmony between you and the nature.
The harmony between you and the people around you.
If the book is about buddhism, it's got to be talking about one or two or maybe three out of the 3 kinds.

The word “mindfulness” refers to be aware of one’s consciousness.  To find out the pathway to ...

This is a summary. If the professor says he wants a summary, then that's fine. If he doesn't say, you should not write a summary.

we know the book talks about mind controlling. What are the purposes of mind controlling? What are the ways to achieve a harmony between your mind and your body?

If you don't want to go any deeper, you could easily write a 3-page paper by answering and explaining those two questions.
