here goes the question~
A large balloon, released at the earth's surface moves vertically upward with a uniform acceleration. One minute after it is released, a passenger on the balloon drops a flare. He measures the time for the flare to reach the earth as 30s. Calculate:
a) the height of the balloon at the instant of releasing the flare.
b) the upward acceleration of the balloon.

oh~ let me tell you about myself a bit~
i contain 1% of stupidness, 1% of stupidity, 48% of insaneness, and 50% of waht common human have~

i don't want that 1% of stupidity since it makes me stupid, but i want everthing else~ so you don't have to change my stupidness or insaneness within me~

actually~ my insaneness is the best in me~ everybody loves my insaneness ><

upward acceleration 147 = .5*a*60^2 a= 0.082 m/s^2
