there are many files that i have copied from other comp. on this disc set(using roxio) that was split and recorded across multiple discs(5). you know that a split file can be copied to the hard disk by using the Roxio Retrieve utility only.

but i only want to copy only one mp3 file to my computer..it kept saying" insert disc 2".. but i tried Disc 2, it wouldnt work...(eventually i tried all 5, still didnt work).

Do i have to do something else?(i was successfully copied one word doc. to my comp tho, just by selecting the file and Retrieve. ..)

I made a big mess, didnt I?

o, the mp3 file was in a file folder

what do u mean illegal? the comp.that the files from is mine.... the destination comp. is mine. i followed instructions care....f..ullly
those are just some my research papers, powerpoints.....o well, i m really dumb on those high-tech stuff....they are ur friends, not mine..........:028:

i read it....umm, idk....ummmmmm, the only thing i can think of is b/c my dumb computer didnot write anything on my 2nd disc....but could it be? the disc ejected itself automatically after transfering....

nvr mind, i think that's the problem, the 2 and 4th one did not have anything there.....
so what i do now? rewrite everything...? or just those 2 discs? How?
i think i have saved the project on my old-dumb computer.

So the problem occured when you were backing up your datas, right? Therefore you have lost all your datas, is that why you are crying?
