1492-10-12 呵呵,因为这一天,我们又放假

这次用英文好了
前言（废话一句）..... American History class is not fun at all....THe teacher is really just giving us busy works....
周一不用上学，又可以轻松一天了。。。。why? :AF: because it's Columbus Day....

Christopher Columbus,born in Genoa, Italy; but he sailed for Spain; in 1492, he set sail for India in Asia with 3 ships-Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria(memorized from notes....:029: )When he reaches the new land, he thought he was in India, so he named the ppl Indians( their real names were Arawaks.). He was actually in present-day San Salvadore....(which is really not considered america.... Why ppl think he was the man who had first reached America? Who knows............idk)
The real discoverer of America is named Amerigo Vespucci. (see his name?? “america " is named after him....)
but weird-ly, ppl were more interested in Columbus than Vespucci..... well, idk the reason... So......whoever is having this holiday, enjoy ur 3-day weekend^^

yep, the "Arawarks" were one example.....Howard Zinn used the word "genocide" ....
i like his book...
its not just the winners/conquerers who are telling the history anymore
