Anime NYC powered by Crunchyroll is pleased to announce their first Japanese guest of honor for 2018 -- legendary voice actor Toru Furuya.
由Crunchyroll主办的Anime NYC荣兴宣布他们2018年的首位日本嘉宾——传奇配音演员古谷彻。

Furuya has brought his voice to more than 100 roles across his 50-year career, including Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon, Yamcha in Dragon Ball, and Amuro Ray in Mobile Suit Gundam. Most recently, he can be heard as Rei Furuya in the blockbuster Detective Conan movie Zero the Enforcer.

In a statement to his fans, Furuya says, "Being able to go to New York, which is the center of the United States, no, the world, is exciting.... I look forward to meeting the fans in New York and exploring all the places that, up until now, I have only seen in movies!"

Furuya will be appearing on November 16 and 17 of the event for on-stage events and autograph signings. He joins previously announced guests Max Mittelman, Ray Chase, and Robbie Daymond.

Anime NYC powered by Crunchyroll is NYC's biggest anime convention, taking place November 16-18. More than 30,000 fans are expected to gather for a weekend of exclusive screenings, autograph signings, panels, and appearances by some of the biggest creators in Japan.
