Well, it is very convinient,but sometimes I have some problems to understanding the symbles that appear in the chatroom very often.( like "lol")
Could you guys show me some basic symbles,please? I mean the one that are common used in the chatroom.
Besides, I would be very appriciated if someone could tell me the meaning of it.

lol= laugh out loud <- very common use in english part of the word~

nm=never mind
np=no problems
thx= (this ones obvious right)
ttyl=talk to you later
tmr=tomorrow

actually we are not using symbols like u think, we are just get lazy...umm, some really common laziness would be

beofre=b4
ppl=people
ttyl=talk to you later
c'ya= see you...
and sometimes we just make up some
