showing off in a forum is more like deliberatily brings up a topic that you know you execeed at, in real life its like a skill (skate board nearby somone and do a 180 then skates backwards, that is showing off when i can't even get on the damned board w/o it slip away....) or an item, like the ipod nano after the first day of release while most of my friends don't have mp3s or have them no name brands.....
so bascially showing off is like do some thing really acdvanced in skills, while the people who is there are newbies, or else more so when you buy suff that is like 10x more expensive than what people gets and constantly flashing it or something so that you notice it, for example, if i had brought my computer to the school it would be a show off, because there is no more than 100 machines in this city that could beat my computer in terms of computing power (personal computers anywas, not counting in the OLGC super computer lol) and that by doing that i'm showing off my machine and making everyone else looking bad, but most of the time when you are with people who are more "knowledgeable" its just making your self looking like retard. |
