file 645 ケガの功名

P. 2: Takagi and Megure are discussing on this case. both of them think that it was the "mysterious follower" who killed the victim.

P. 3: They thought that the "follower" hid in the washroom and waited for the victim, and suddenly killed him.
But this hypothesis provides no clue to why would there be a "spare tie" in the victim's inner pocket.
Eri suggested that the tie was bought by the victim on the way to the wake.
And she claimed Yuuko-san to be clean.
So Megure asked Takagi to check on anyone suspecious.
Eri than asked Yuuko to have a talk with her in another room.

P. 4: Eri quoted a law, which was about the deduction on the trial if someone confessed.
She said Yuuko was the killer and tried to ask Yuuko to go and confess.

P. 5: Yuuko denied to killing of his husband. She said 10 minutes break from the resturant wasn't enough.
But Eri said it was possible for a women like Yuuko to kill in such short time, provided that Yuuko was a pro in Judo. (I don't quite understand the logic behind this point.)
Yuuko said that she wasn't able to call her husband out to the resturant.
Eri said, no, there was no reason to call him out. He was there already.
Yuuko said, but her husband was in a wake, and that Eri also heard the sound of the prayer from the speaker of the mobile.
Eri said, that prayer was a tape.

P. 6: Eri said, he had a date with his secret lover.
As she explain that the victim was only using a tape to pretend to be in a wake, she got very excited and hitted the sofa.
Ran and Conan, peeping from the door, was frightened by this act of Eri.
Eri ecplained that usually people won't put down their rings when they went to the washroom.

P. 7: Eri pointed out that she saw matches in the bottom of the rubbish bag.
She said Yuuko claimed that she always goes to the resturant alone, so she guess that
Yuuko was going alone and at the same time the victim was dating in the same resturant, and Yuuko saw them.
and that everything was planned by Yuuko, including the "mysterious follower".
Yuuko killed her husband in her car and drove the body home, placed it in the room.

P. 8: And so Eri became her time witness.
Yuuko laughted and argued on the car. She said if her husband was there, then his car should be in the parking lot.

P. 9: However, the car wasn't there, so this hypothesis by Eri was totally wrong.
Conan interrupted, asked Yuuko about something in Jodo, the Reversal Technique.
The Reversal Technique is the skill used in Judo, using the opponent's way to defect the opponent.
Eri than understand the whole story.

P. 10: Yuuko's car was actually the victim's car.
Yuuko drove the victim's car, and that's why the parking ticket was missing.
(because the victim used to put it somewhere else than where Yuuko usually puts it.)

P. 11: Eri asked Yuuko to confess.
Yuuko finally admit that she killed the victim.
Eri was curious about the reason behind.

P. 12: Yuuko said she could forgive her husband, because his secret lover is the wife of her idol.
Eri told the story of the wings of Icarus.

P. 13: Yuuko confessed and the case is finally closed.
Eri, Ran and Conan were on the way back home while Ran suggested that it was Kogoro's helping.
Eri said it was only by chance.

P. 14: Ran called Kogoro again and asked Eri to think him.
But then as Eri was talking to Kogoro, a woman's voice came in the background and called "Kogoro-san, please hurry"
Eri got very angry and hanged up the phone.

P. 15: Eri handed the mobile back to Ran, and Ran didn't know what was going on.
Ran and Conan returned to their home, and saw Kogoro sleeping on his working desk.
Conan went into the office and saw a note from the Master of the cafe Poirot, saying that the party was cancel.

P. 16: Besides the sleeping Kogoro, ther was a note written by Kogoro on the case.
(Kogoro was also thinking hard on this case and he also thought that the key word was tape.)
Actually, Kogoro did all this to try to help Eri to get to the correct answer.
And the woman's voice was only a part of the tape he was using to hint Eri.
As Kogoro was sleeping, he said "Do your best, Eri!"
