Hi everyone. It looks like that I miss a lot in ONLY ONE NIGHT!!Anyway, NG. I think the 话外音that you said before actually means "旁白".
"旁白" is a kind of person which not an actual character in the play, but it is a person that often talk about the CONTEXT of the play at the begining or the end of the scene. The purpose of "旁白" is trying to take audience to CONTEXT that current appear in the play.

话外音 is SO narrator....how can you guys don't know that...A narrator is someone who tells a story. It's not very accurate in this situation. Well, I don't know. It's all up to NG to decide.
