A narrator is someone who tells a story. It's not very accurate in this situation. Well, I don't know. It's all up to NG to decide.Narrator: The person who narrates a fim or a programme speaks the words which accompany the pictures, but does not appear in it.
I believe the 话外音 in a play is definitely "narrator", and once i joined a play where my teacher said so, too.

I believe the 话外音 in a play is definitely "narrator", and once i joined a play where my teacher said so, too.I think it was because your teacher was refering to a person of the play, whose job was to do 话外音, and that was why she used the word "narrator". But I don't think 话外音 is a person, it sounds more like a part of the structure of a playwright to me.

well, i can't figure out what "话外音" does if he/she doesn't do the job of "旁白"...回复: English Chatroom (想练习英语的就来啊^^)

well, i can't figure out what "话外音" does if he/she doesn't do the job of "旁白"...Is that a rhetorical question?
In my opinion, the relationship between "话外音" and "旁白" is very similar to "teaching" and "teacher", and hopefully people can understand the rest of it.
