lol, i suck at french, in canada, you can say that fench and english and other groups co-exist peacefully, we do dispise each other eg. if you enter quebec-french with a ontario-english drivers plate, and you are in a less known area like small towns, you would be followed or at leaset noted by police cars, from actural experince, however this happened only once, in a small village where we were driving for hours w/o another oncomeing car, it must be noted that if you do the oppsite (entering ontario with quebec licence plate) you will receive the same welcome in isolated areas where the population is mostly english.
But, like all true canadian, all people, no matter french, english,m chinese, arabic, japense etc. will help ou if you are in need, for example, when we got in an acciden in northern quebec with a transport (yes sedan Vs transport..... no injury though) we got help from serveral local citizen who called the police and when the police arrived (not much english experince, good with hand signs though :)) they explained the whole experince and evene gave their contact if this was taken to court (not, it arn't for all you law specialists).
