I think language is used to conmmunicate,so if you can conmmunicate by using such words you can use them.

the use of the words is not so appropriate。。。。。（just some....）
the style of English can generally be divided into two catalogues
academic or journal
in terms of academic english, some expressions are forbidden.... e.g. 'as we all know'; 'every coin has two sides';all the abbreviations; ‘i think...’, ect
in a word, quite formal (when we write papers or essays...)
for the journal
just help yourself...

I think he/she means "formail English." IT's like what you would use [the word choice, grammar] in an ENglish paper= =

i like this idea.
maybe we can open another thread where formal english only... it can be meant to help ppl who are learning english, or trying to improve English.

i nvr talk formal English here. idk about u'all, apparantly it offers no helps to me
